6 Degrees Clothing
Identity Design & Web site

6 Degrees Clothing, a longtime manufacturer of young women’s fashion asked Zaudhaus to help craft a brand image that could allow them to take their clothing direct to consumer online. We worked closely with the CEO to develop an identity that could compete with the likes of Free People and other boutique fashion brands. We not only developed a flashship Web site, but also labels, hangtags and other collateral to support the lines.

CHALLENGE + SOLUTION
The Challenge: We set out first to craft a competitive visual identity - something that could compete in the fashion space and be an engaging brand online. After many rounds of identity work, the client selected the fragmented execution of their identity - representing the many facets of customization that women take and can take when putting together a look. 6 Degrees respects a woman's desire to mix and match to create their fashion mix - providing the necessary components to separate from others - which fit very well with their tagline - What Separates You?

Building upon the visual identity work, we crafted several collateral elements including application of the identity to the hang-tag and clothing label in two themed color palettes for seasons. We then extended that look into a final corporate brochure and Web site using layered images that were actually shot in the manufacturing headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. Maniquins, fabric, and more of the traditional elements found in clothing manufacturing were used. The final design evokes the craftsmanship and attention to detail that the brand promotes.
