2008 Conference Materials

The APGA approached Zaudhaus to develop their 2008 conference design theme based on the concept of seeing "The Big Picture." Withe the conference taking place in Pasadena, California, the play on the theme is a blend of the Southern California Entertainment industry as well as the influence that the landscape has on our lives. We first worked to develop a promotional video with classic California music paired with classic scenes.

CHALLENGE + SOLUTION
The Challenge: The video we did first was a fun intro into the conference circuit of this national organization. We learned quickly about how this audience responds to messages. From there, we explored ways to extend the idea to collateral. Previous designs were fairly straightforward and graphic - we wanted to push the boundaries a bit and do something more textural.

The intial reaction when the video and collateral were introduced at the 2007 show in Washington DC was very positive. The textural detail and the hand-quality was refreshing and enticing to everyone.
