Motista approached us with a prototype of their technology - self-service tools that provide a way to visualize customer survey data regarding consumer emotions as they reflect affinity towards different brands. They needed a way to easily present these tools to enterprise users in a form that rivaled other consumer tools. At the same time, they also needed an identity and overall look & feel that could present a trusted brand in data sciences.



We started by focusing on making the end-result, the visualized data, an incredibly clear and memorable visual. From there, the color palette, interface, and ultimately the new brand would be born. In many ways, we chose to work in reverse of how many people would approach conventional branding.
