We were asked to help develop a product from concept that could integrate the tasks of multiple professionals who play different roles in the product development process and centralize those tasks into a single Web-based, “on-demand” application. Provide streamlined, task-centric processes for accomplishing a multitude of complex management tasks – all using a visual interface and language that everyone involved could relate to without having to learn different interface systems.
We established an approach that focused on segmenting the tasks by a noun-based navigation systenm. All roles in the process were familiar with the same “things” being worked with. From there, users were naturally segmented and the tasks we developed utilized visual approaches that applied more specifically to each role.
